We are proud to be supporting this global Company in finding an Field based Waste Water Technician to join their expanding team!
The role will be covering the Kilkenny area and supporting customers across manufacturing, power and utilities..
What does the role entail?
The successful candidate will work alongside Account Managers and Operations personnel covering sites across Kilkenny.
As the water specialist you will be taking samples of water from various locations on a customer site and checking for any contamination such as monitoring of legionella. You will carry out testing and monitoring and document reports and enter onto Gensuite system which is the CRM utilised.
You will carry out remedial action to treat any contaminated water by chemical dosing or to rectify the PH balance by the addition of chemicals and further monitoring.
When working on site you will liaise with the Account Manager and the customer and share your feedback regarding the water safety and any remedial action you have needed to put in place. You will also check to ensure that the waste water equipment is fully functional and identify any areas of concern that need to be reported and solutions offered i.e. the replacement of specific equipment.
Routine maintenance of third party technology and equipment including the operation of dosing pumps, changing the dosage rates as required based upon the results of the tests and escalating any urgent findings as required. Calibration of personal and onsite equipment.
Overseeing the delivery of chemicals and ensuring they are stored responsibly and to health and safety standards.
What experience and qualifications do you need for this role?
It would be a preferred Chemistry/Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent
Full clean driving licence
Availability and flexibility to travel within the assigned geographical location including overnight stops
Excellent Organisation ability
Great communication skills both written and oral
Highly motivated and a passion for producing excellent work
Goal orientated
Proficient in the use of MS Office, database and CRM systems
Health & Safety Conscious with a very good understanding of chemicals
Able to use Hand tools to check equipment is functioning correctly and carry out routine maintenance.

The salary offered includes a basic between 32,000 euros and 45,000 euros dependent upon experience, a Company vehicle, , on call paid twice yearly (on call would be one weekend in a 4 week month or one weekend in a 5month) 4 X Life Assurance, 22 days holiday plus the Bank Holidays, overtime at 1.5 times salary, private medical and contributory pension scheme.
